It is not the same as the machine 900. most importantly, this one leaves the owner with the ability to remove scale. you don't have to take in store for descaling. It has a setting to turn on the machine as a pre-programmed time. that tells you when the grinding force and meet the requirements for a good shot. is considerably cheaper than models with these features. doesn't have all the metal entrails but is certainly worth the trade-off. has a love of whole milk
